Caring for your door

Chislehurst Doors recommends using Sikkens Wood Stain which is available in numerous shades and colours.

The door should be stained immediately after installation with at least 3 coats allowing stated drying time.

Ensure all edges are covered including the top, bottom and sides of the door, and letterbox holes etc.

Future maintenance is most important if the doors good looks are to be retained over many years. We recommend washing down with warm water and detergent every 2 years and re-coating.
